Belonging Is...

We're closing out the year with a poem about Belonging, written together by poet Cortland Gilliam and 5th graders at Frank Porter Graham Elementary.

We had the joy of witnessing Cortland as he engaged students in creating poetry this fall through the Rising Voices Poetry Project at Northside Elementary, Ephesus Elementary, Frank Porter Graham Elementary, Estes Hills Elementary and Rashkis Elementary.

We continue to be inspired by the young people in our community and hope that their perspectives bring you joy and peace in the new year.
